After Art the Clown and the Little Pale Girl return to theaters this year with the re-release of Terrifier 2, the terrifying clowns are set to return to the big screen next year.
Terrifier 3 was previously announced to be in development, with a release date of late 2024 reported. More recently, director Damien Leone discussed the re-release of Terrifier 2 in November, and when chatting about the re-release of the popular sequel, the filmmaker revealed that Terrifer 3 is planned to be released next year.
Director Damien Leone posted a tweet on August 28th announcing the return of Terrifier 2 back to theaters:

Leone stated,
“This year has been unlike anything we could have imagined, to see all the love Terrifier 2 has received and the excitement this release has inspired from fans new and old, is truly beyond words. As a thank you to them and the many people who worked tirelessly on this release, we want to bring it back to the big screen where it belongs.”
Then the director notably added,
“And more than that, while fans eagerly await the release of Terrifier 3 next year, we will be including some special surprises because a year is just too long to wait.”
Leone hasn’t revealed anything specifics about the plot of Terrifier 3, but we may expect David Howard Thornton to return as Art the Clown, possibly alongside Amelie McLain as the Little Pale Girl. It was also stated that the third film will have a significantly larger budget than Terrifier 2, which had a $250,000 budget. This is based on the second picture grossing more than $15 million at the global box office, demonstrating that Terrifier has rapidly grown to become one of more popular horror movie series among genre fans.
Terrifier 3 Will Be Much More Brutal
“Terrifier 3 will be another boundary pushing addition to the horror genre, continuing the no holds barred, uncompromising exploits fans of the franchise have come to expect and celebrate,” teased Leone with Terrifier 3’s first announcement. “If you thought Art the Clown’s reign of terror in part two was extreme, you haven’t seen anything yet.”
Terrifier 3 will be released in 2024, though with no specific date set. Meanwhile, Terrifier 2 will return to theaters on November 8, 2023. The second film is also presently available to watch on Screambox. The original Terrifier film is also available on Peacock and the free streaming platform Tubi.
