In celebration of the viral moment that came from Taylor Swift’s attendance at the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday, the Empire State Building lights were changed on Wednesday.
Taylor Swift was present on Sunday to watch NFL tight end Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears. While the “Speak Now” singer’s visit generated a few viral moments and a lot of buzz, one photo, in particular, captured the attention of fans, advertisers, and now buildings.
A picture of the singer at the game, seated next to a plate of food, was reshared on Sunday night by a well-known X account named @tswifterastour. This sparked immediate online excitement. “Taylor Swift was eating a piece of chicken with ketchup and seemingly ranch!” the caption read.
Swift’s admirers and the internet immediately became engrossed in @tswifterastour’s caption after the user tweeted. Since then, the post has received over 32 million views, sparking a fresh meme frenzy.
Even New York City’s Empire State Building decided to join in the fun on Wednesday night. The 102-story landmark’s official Instagram account posted a picture of the landmark’s highest stories decorated with white and red lights along with the remark, “Ketchup and seemingly ranch.”

A user on X named @veryharryhill reposted the post from the Empire State Building and wrote, “Whoever coined ‘seemingly ranch’ needs a Pulitzer TOMORROW.”
A flurry of internet replies to @tswifterastour’s initial Sunday tweet resulted, notably from Hidden Valley Ranch, which has subsequently changed its name on X to “Seemingly Ranch.”
“Our Ranch Queen,” the official KFC X account wrote. In response to the viral online moment, Heinz also created a new product. A new “Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch” sauce would be made available in 100 limited-edition bottles, the company announced.

Not only did food companies participate in the moment, but the Merriam-Webster Dictionary account also tweeted in response to the initial message. By giving people access to one of the words’ definitions, the dictionary’s official account made light of the situation. “Seemingly | adverb | outwardly or apparently —> used to indicate how something appears or seems.”

Fans were also delighted by the post. X user, @spencerbarrett, posted, “Taylor Swift eating chicken tenders and drinking a vodka cranberry? She really is just like me.”
Swift’s stadium presence came after Kelce publicly invited the singer to the game last week on the podcast of The Pat McAfee Show.
According to a source who spoke to PEOPLE over the weekend, the singer didn’t allow her busy schedule prevent her from attending the game after she heard about Kelce’s invitation.
“Taylor is very focused on work right now and hanging out with her girlfriends,” the insider said. “Travis invited her to the game, and of course she said ‘yes.'”
“She just thought it was a fantastic way to spend Sunday,” the source added.
The “Red” singer joined Donna Kelce, Kelce’s mother, in the athlete’s suite on Sunday. She was even sporting a red-and-white Chiefs jacket. Moreover, a different insider told PEOPLE after the match that the two are still in the “super, super early days” of getting to know one another.
“They’re having fun,” added the insider. “This was Taylor’s first time meeting his mom and dad, and everyone was enjoying themselves. She was super chill and low-key hanging out with his friends and family.”
The final score of the game was 41-10 in favor of the Chiefs.
