Britney Spears is going down memory lane — and proving she’s a true Swiftie!
The “Toxic” singer tweeted side-by-side pictures of herself and Swift in 2003, before the “Anti-Hero” singer released her first self-titled album, and again five years later in 2008. Spears told how, while on tour, a friend introduced her to a young girl who wanted to be a singer.
“This is way back when but kinda cool … During my Oops Tour, I got a knock at my door,” Spears wrote in the caption of the post. “My good friend at the time was the assistant to my manager who was trying to become a manager himself. There was a knock, and then he said, ‘I have a girl named Taylor who wants to come in and sing for you.’”
She continued, “I was like of course !!! He walks in, and she sings a beautiful song with her guitar. I was like wow wow she’s unbelievable !!! We took a picture, and she then became the most iconic pop woman of our generation. Kinda cool she plays stadiums, and I prefer her videos over movies any day. She’s stunning !!! Girl crush.”

Both Spears and Swift have had enormous success this year, with the former having recently released her best-selling biography, which covers the highs and lows of her life from her point of view, on Oct. 24.
1.1 million copies were sold in the first week of sales, including pre-orders, print books, digital, and audiobooks, according to Gallery Books, a Simon & Schuster company.
Because of the book’s success, a fourth printing of the memoir is already in the works, bringing the total number of hardcover copies in print to more than 1.4 million, the publisher added.
Swift, meantime, is now on the South American leg of her fan-favorite Eras Tour, with the most recent event taking place at Buenos Aires’ Estadio River Plate in Argentina on Saturday, featuring an appearance by the singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.
The tour dates follow the re-release of Swift’s 2014 album, 1989 (Taylor’s Version), which garnered her the biggest album debut of her career.
