Unfortunately, AEW’s Blackpool Combat Club member Wheeler Yuta has suffered an injury, leading him to withdraw from a Steelstacks SmackDown II match.
As per LVAC’s announcement on platform X (previously Twitter), Wheeler faced an injury that hasn’t been disclosed yet, and consequently, he won’t be able to wrestle at an indie event scheduled for Saturday, where he was initially slated for his promotional debut. However, LVAC confirmed that Yuta will still make na appearance at the event and be a part of the meet-and-greet sessions with fans scheduled before the show. Currently, the exact nature and severity of Yuta’s injury remains uncertain. In response to Yuta’s injured state, LVAC has ensured that it is actively working to secure a replacement performer for the main show card.

On September 3 at AEW All Out, Yuta participated in a wrestling match alongside a fellow Blackpool Combat Club member, Claudio Castagnoli. The duo had been victorious against the pair of Eddie Kingston and Katsuyori Shibata. Prior to the All Out, Yuta had challenged, in vain, Kingston for the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship on “Dynamite.”
The Steelstacks Smackdown II is scheduled for Saturday, September 16, and will be held at Musikfest Cafe. AEW will air the latest episode of Rampage on Friday, September 15, which will be followed by AEW Collision on Saturday, September 16.
