Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce made headlines on Sunday night when they opted to end a thrilling game at Arrowhead Stadium with a surprise late-night dinner.
The star-studded couple’s evening caused the famous restaurant to close as fans and customers flocked for an unexpected encounter with the two celebs.
Taylor and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were photographed exiting the stadium together, which sparked a social media frenzy. Swifties and sports fans alike speculated about the nature of their relationship following their surprise meeting.

Fans, however, were in for a big treat at Kansas City’s trendy Prime Social Rooftop. On Sunday night, customers already there for dinner discovered themselves in the middle of something amazing.

An eyewitness tells ET, “Travis bought out the restaurant for his family and team. Taylor arrived, wearing a denim dress, and was seen snacking, having some cocktails and dancing alongside Travis. The two were very affectionate with one another but kept things fun and lighthearted. Travis’ teammates also showed up to the after-party, as well as his mom and dad, Donna and Ed. The party lasted until 2 a.m.”
A source tells ET, “Travis has never shied away from his desire to give dating with Taylor a try, which he even said during a press conference a few months ago after seeing Swift in concert. Travis and Taylor are taking things slowly, and not rushing into anything serious. Both are very career-focused, so the focus is on that for now, but that’s not going to stop them from enjoying life when it’s the right moment.”
The Chiefs’ 41-10 victory over the Chicago Bears was cause for much celebration.
One diner tells ET, “So we went to Prime Social Rooftop for my friend’s 22nd birthday. They informed us before we left that they had a ‘hard close’ at 8 p.m. and of course, seeing that Taylor was at the Chiefs game, we were already joking that she was going to be there.”
The restaurant personnel approached customers with to-go boxes as 8 o’clock drew near, advising them that they had to leave the area. The employees politely gave free drinks at their sister restaurant a few levels below as compensation for the early closure. The diners couldn’t help but think whether this odd circumstance was for Taylor and Travis’ benefit.
When questioned about the surprising turn of events, the staff of the restaurant maintained a veil of secrecy, grinning and responding that they “can’t confirm or deny” the cause of the abrupt shutdown. However, as interactions with the staff went on, it became clear that they were delighted about the notable visitors in attendance and had even agreed to send greetings to Taylor.
The group moved to the sister restaurant where their waiter informed them that some of Taylor’s security staff were seated just a few tables away. They then observed a growing crowd outside. They chose to up the steps in an effort to catch a sight of the pop sensation, but when they arrived, they discovered that the doors were guarded and closed, which caused them to jokingly laugh at their audacious move.
Even though the diners didn’t get a chance to see the couple up close, they were amazed by the extraordinary event. The customer summarized the evening by remarking, “I wish I could have seen her, but it was amazing!!”

In an interview with The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday, Kelce addressed romance rumors that had started to surface about him and Swift and said that he had “thrown the ball in her court.”
The athlete continued, “We’ll see what happens in the near future,” and it looked like the Bad Blood hitmaker took the next step by supporting him at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City with his mother while sitting in a VIP section.
