This one is not your average zombie movie about cannibalistic creatures. Just a heads up, the creatures in Kingdom: Ashin of the North are not mindless and are frighteningly quick and sharp.
Kingdom: Ashin of the North delves into the past of Ashin, a Jurchen lady whose life is ravaged by tragedy and corruption, and she will stop at nothing to get her retribution. The movie revolves around Ashin’s past and her relationship with the resurrection plant that is responsible for the reanimation of the dead.
The movie features the region north of Joseon and the destitute tribes residing there and is a prequel and side story of the famous Kingdom series.
